Accessible travel

We all travel for different reasons.

Getting where you want to be takes planning so you can travel the way that’s best for you.

We're on a mission to improve accessibility with tools and resources designed to help get you on your way. Because, at Queensland Rail Travel, we understand that everybody’s journey is different.

Around one third of our customers have a disability, with varying accessibility requirements and levels of independence.

Our customers may be blind or have low vision, be deaf or hard of hearing. Their disability maybe be physical or mobility related, cognitive or neurodivergent. We also know some customers may experience more than one type of disability or may have a hidden or temporary disability.

With all these customer types in mind, we are aiming to improve and expand our information resources to cater for everyone who wants to take a long-distance rail journey. We will continue to provide new information resources here to help you access the information you need.

We hope these resources and information will give you the clarity and confidence to make the journey your own.
