​​Student Fare

When booking, customers will receive a discount of up to 40% off the full adult rail fare on Queensland Rail Travel long-distance services when they provide proof of a current Queensland full-time student card. Meals and upgrades to a sleeper or RailBed are not discounted and incur an additional cost.​

Take the train along Queensland's east coast to well-known holiday hot spots. Try whale watching at Fraser Island or the rodeo at the beef capital, Rockhampton. See turtle hutching in Bundaberg, swim in the blue waters of the Whitsundays or walk through Tropical North Queensland's rainforests.

Trek west to red dirt country and try an Outback Queensland adventure. Explore the gem fields of Emerald, experience the history of Barcaldine or enjoy the authentic outback hospitality of Longreach. Head inland to the bustling mining town of Mount Isa, west from Townsville or take a trip across the Great Dividing Range to Charleville from Brisbane.
