Take the Tilt Train to this year’s Ekka!​​

Gather the family and hop onboard the Tilt Train for this year's Ekka, with half-price Economy Seat fares for both adults and kids on select services between Bundaberg to Brisbane. 

The Royal Queensland Show, affectionately called the Ekka, runs from Saturday, 8 August to Sunday, 16 August 2026. Make the most of your day at the show, with the morning Bundaberg Tilt Train (Q994) stopping at the Exhibition Station, taking you right to the Ekka doors! 

Experience the show that brings country and city together, with plenty of rides, shows, animals, and entertainment for everyone. And let’s not forget the showbags, dagwood dogs, and strawberry sundaes!

<p>Conditions apply: Prices are per person one-way based on <a href="/Planyourtrip/policycentre/fare-types"><u>AChoice</u></a> fare conditions, return fares available. Subject to availability and departure times.
<p>Ekka fare is valid for travel from <strong>8 to 16 August 2026</strong> and is available for Adult or Children (aged 4 to 15 years) for travel in Economy Seats only on the Tilt Train services: Q994 from Bundaberg and for sectors to <a href="https://www.queenslandrail.com.au/Customers/Stations%20and%20Maps/Pages/AllStations.aspx?StationName=Exhibition#StationDetail" target="_blank"><u>Exhibition Station</u></a> and Roma Street Station (Brisbane); Tilt Train services QJ11 and Q311 for sectors between <a href="/planyourtrip/findyourstation?StationName=Brisbane%20Railway%20Station%20(Roma%20Street)#StationDetail"><u>Roma Street Station (Brisbane)</u></a> to Bundaberg and Rockhampton; and on RailBus Connections to and from Hervey Bay and Maryborough West.</p><p>No checked luggage service is available to Exhibition station.</p><p>The Ekka special discount fare does not apply to any other concession or discount fares.
