About coach replacements (in disrupted train services)

When our train services are disrupted, we offer road coaches where possible to get you to your destination. It’s important to note that this is a change in the travel style you had planned when you booked your rail ticket. You will need to be able to use the 4-5 steep steps to join and leave the coach and will be required to take your luggage to and from the storage area under the coach. The coach will usually have an onboard toilet, but this is not always possible, and comfort breaks will be offered throughout the journey. Some coaches are equipped with a wheelchair lift to enable people using a wheelchair or mobility scooter to join and leave the coach. The coach journey will likely be considerably longer than the duration of the original rail service and may involve a change of coach along the way.
